500 Confirmed Cases in Lebanon
Within a short two week time frame, the number of confirmed swine flu cases jumps to 500. The Health Ministry reports that the majority of citizens suffering from the virus are young adults or children. Out of the 500 hundred cases, the country has only suffered one death.
Elias Antoine Nihmatallah was the country's first victim, but was said to have been suffering from previously diagnosed health conditions.
The Country continues to claim that the Ministry has overall downplayed the seriousness of the virus --they feel that it was unnecessary for the whole country to get tested and that most people who do come down with the swine flu are likely to recover without hospitalization or treatment.
After the numbers soared, the Health Ministry released a statement telling doctors that they should treat the patients as they see fit.
