Mumbai & The Swine Flu
India is beginning to take extreme measures to prevent the spread of the swine flu. Mumbai, Inidia has taken such precautionary measures as to close schools and implemented a rule asking that flu masks be worn at all times. Movie theatres have closed their doors as well as educational institutions, but authorities want to reassure their citizens that these are just all precautionary measures.
The first reported death on account of the swine flu was last week, and since then the death toll has risen to 20 people. Mumbai is heading into a month long celebration of religious festivals, and the government has asked that festivities be kept to a minimum.
