Turks and Caicos

Just in the past week the number of infected patients showing signs of the swine flu has nearly doubled in Turks and Caicos.  The Ministry of Health has confirmed fourteen cases, mostly appearing in females.  The Ministry of Health follows up saying that most of these cases are not serious and easily treatable.

On the Island of Grand Turk, there have been a new nine patients tested positive aged four to fifty-three, seven females and two males.  In Providenciales, there are five new confirmed cases (all female) aged nine to twenty-seven.

All of these diagnosed patients are supposedly being treated with the tamiflu antiviral drug, and as an extra precaution they have all been put in isolation for up to seven days.
