The Superbug Not so Super

In a recent article in U.S. News, scientist predict that the anticipated swine flu will not be as bad as anticipated.  Many have claimed that the swine flu has the potential of turning into a "superbug", but many feel as though that is highly unlikely based on the evidence provided.  There is not enough evidence that will point researchers to believe that the swine flu is as dangerous as it is anticipated to be.

There are a variety of reasons as to why the swine flu has gained so much hype  an attention.  As with anything else, there is fear of the unknown -- and the swine flu is most certainly unknown.  The virus that has surfaced is an unknown, there is no found vaccine yet, and the strain itself combines more than one type of the swine flu therefore it will be even more reason to panic this flu season.
