Swine Flu in Costa Rica

Based on the recent statistics of the Swine Flu, Costa Rica has made the decision to go ahead and ask many of its workers to continue work from home.

More than 20 people have died in Costa Rica from Swine Flu complications.  Hundreds more have been diagnosed with the Swine Flu, in fact Costa Rican President Oscar Arias received treatment last week for mild flu symptoms, officials say that he could recover as early as next week.

The 68-year old president is the first state official to be reported to have come down with the virus. But health officials have made sure that none of his cabinet members have the flu.

Arias is currently being treated with the antiviral medication tamiflu, but not even the flu can get this president down; he continues to work from home.
