Brunei Confirms First Death from the Swine Flu
Brunei which is located at the northern tip of Borneo Island in Southeast Asia has come down with 93 cases of the new H1N1 virus.
As students return from school in the United Kingdom, Brunei is expected to see a surge of Swine Flu cases. One 19 year old Brunei female received treatment for the symptoms of the Swine Flu. Health professionals believe she contracted the virus while at school in the United Kingdom, but there is no evidence to confirm these findings.
As of now, the Brunei government is trying to tell its citizens not to panic. They are asking its citizens to take extra precautions when in public or traveling. The Director of the Ministry of Health also mandated that all air traffic be checked upon arrival into the country.
