The Ministry of Public Health in Liechtenstein is responsible for many things, but having to deal with a flu pandemic is something for this landlocked principality.

The Ministry of Public Health is responsible for almost all of the general health issues that may come up. They are the designers of the general health policy, hospitals, public health services, health insurance, pharmaceutical products, veterinary services, food safety, and inspections.

Because they cover such a wide array of health issues, they are constantly in a battle of adapting and optimizing plans that reflect the social and international developments.

Liechtenstein's health system is very well-developed, and in a recent survey conducted - 90% of all citizens were more than satisfied with services rendered. The health insurance is set up in such a way that it provides mandatory coverage to all its citizens.
