iPhone App Created to Track the Swine Flu
Just when we though we could escape the swine flu, we can now receive flu information via our phone. A new iPhone application allows users to track and report outbreaks of infectious diseases as it travels.
This iPhone application was created by a Children's Hospital in Boston who worked in conjunction with the MIT Media Lab. This new application builds upon the ideals of HealthMap -- which now serves as an online resource that informs people of an outbreak in their area. However, the new iPhone application takes it one step further; because there is already a built in GPS in an iPhone, you do not have to go through the trouble of typing in your information, instead it will already know where you are.
