Chicago School System Prepares
The Chicago School system is trying to ward of the flu for as long as possible. But this is not the first time they are taking precautions. Since this is the second re-emergence of the swine flu, many school officials feel as though they are prepared to face another outbreak.
Chicago school systems are asking children to get the vaccination before returning to school. This is made particularly difficult because as of mid-August there is no vaccination that is made available to the public as of yet. The expected release date of the vaccine is sometime in October, but with the way things are going there may not be a vaccine available to meet the needs of the Chicago school system.
