Too Little, Too Late
Swine Flu Vaccine, May not be effective enough nor string enough to ward off the flu this season. The swine flu vaccines that are currently under development by drug making companies, but scientists say they will not be ready until the end of November, which makes it too late to prevent the onset of an outbreak.
By that time, students will be back to classes and the autumn chill will have already set in. Also, the United States was expecting to receive 195 million doses of the vaccine, but only 45 million doses will be delivered to the United States by mid-October.
Because this strain of the virus was stronger than it was in the past, doctors are now requiring that patients receive two doses, which means there will really be a shortage this upcoming fall.
