Government Officials Prepare
As the summer came to a close, United States government officials urged businesses to prepare their employees for a widespread outbreak. They fear that as the swine flu spreads there can be a higher rate of absences which will leave critically important jobs vacant.
Federal officials are now asking employers to cross-train all of their employees to perform multiple tasks - so if the flu were to spread, jobs will be filled by other employees.
Many employers have established a work ethic regarding the flu, at the first sign of the flu employees will be asked to go home, employees will be asked to practice good hygiene and excessive cleaning habits as well. As long as all businesses practice good common sense in the work place this upcoming flu season, we should be able to escape widespread disaster caused by the swine flu.
