Zimbabwe

The Health Ministry of Zimbabwe has confirmed its first case of the swine flu.  Experts say these cases come out of a private school of the eastern border town, Mutare.

The infected children range in age between five and ten years of age.  The Health Minister claims that the government as well as Zimbabwe's medical department are working collaboratively to put in place a response plan in the case that a pandemic were to ensue.

Hospitals have prepared themselves, but the lack of testing supplies and resurgence of patients have left doctors tired an under - paid.  These doctors are demanding higher salaries, and until they get that, they will be going on strike to prove a point. But doctors are in high need right now especially as flu season rolls around.
