Yemen Reports First Death

        Yemen reports its first swine flu death on August 19, 2009. The man started showing mild flu symptoms around August 10th and was diagnosed with phenomena. After symptoms progressed, and the mans health began to quickly deteriorate and health officials re-diagnosed the man with swine flu shortly before his death. He was transferred to the intensive care unit and he began treatment and medication a few hours before his death, but did not show any response to medications. Following investigation it was said that the man contracted the swine flu virus during a visit to the United States while visiting relatives. Although this is the first death that this Arab country has seen as a result of the swine flu, there are 16 reported cases of the swine flu, and as of now, only one death.
