Wake Islands

As the fall season approaches, many people will find themselves traveling. But be aware, that many popular destination spots are being asked to be extra cautious when letting in foreign citizens.

The Wake Islands -- a popular destination for Pacific Ocean-goers, has been taking extra steps to prevent this swine-flu-free string of island from contracting the flu.  The Islands have done a great job in keeping the swine flu away, but specialists predict that it won't be long until they see their first case.  Some government officials are suggesting that each traveler get a swine flu test before they even step foot on their territory.

But if you yourself are planning a vacation to the Wake Islands, you may want to consider getting a flu shot.

According to the World Health Organization as of August 30, 2009 - there have been a total of 177,000 confirmed cases of the swine flu world wide.
