Iowa
Iowa experiences its first swine flu related death on August 4, 2009. Iowa has taken many preventative measures in trying to contain the virus in order to prevent spreading. Due to privacy laws the state of Iowa cannot reveal any information about the victim or reveal any details about the death other than that the cause was swine flu. Although this is the first and only death in the state of Iowa, it is a very important reminder for Iowa state residents to keep in mind that the swine flu indeed does have the potential to be deadly which is very important for anybody to keep in mind as this is a potentially very dangerous pandemic which is not only effecting Iowa, but this country as a whole, including many other countries around the world.
