Denmark Found Resistance to the Antiviral Drug Effectiveness
The world has come down with the swine flu plague. There has been a lot of controversy regarding the effectiveness of the antiviral drug used primarily for the treatment of the swine flu. In fact, there is finally evidence coming from Denmark to really contradict the effectiveness of the tamiflu antiviral drug.
Danish officials and manufacturers have been testing the drug for some time now, and they finally reported this past week that the tamiflu antiviral drug will not hold up to the strain of the swine flu.
The Roche medical manufacturing company confirmed reports on Monday saying that a Denmark patient with the swine flu has developed a resistance to the antiviral drug.
This is upsetting news in the pharmaceutical world, if one patent's case of the swine flu is resistant, it is almost guaranteed that others will be too.
