Cameroon comes down with the Flu
This past Thursday, August 20th -- Cameroon reported its first four cases of the deadly swine flu. Previously there had been twelve suspected cases, and after testing four of those cases were confirmed.
Being that these were the first four cases this country has seen, the alarm has been stricken in its 17 Million inhabitants.
Of the four cases, one of them was an American expatriate. In an effort to keep the population safe, the Ministry of Health is launching an awareness campaign for the virus. The port of entries in the nation are being targeted so the nation can regulate the people coming in.
In 2006 the country suffered a huge loss in it poultry farming industry - therefore the nation needs to take these precautions to sustain their way of life.
