There are a variety of reasons as to why the swine flu has gained so much hype  an attention.  As with anything else, there is fear of the unknown -- and the swine flu is most certainly unknown.  The virus that has surfaced is an unknown, there is no found vaccine yet, and the strain itself combines more than one type of the swine flu therefore it will be even more reason to panic this flu season.
