Guillan-Barre Syndrome
"What are the Side Effects of the Swine Flu Vaccine?"
Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a neurological disorder that attacks one's central nervous system which can cause paralysis and death. One of the main contributors to Guillain-Barre Syndrome is complications from the Influenza Virus.
More recently there is concern among medical professionals that the vaccine for the Swine flu i now the main culprit in causing Guillain-Barre syndrome.
In 1976 -- American doctors administered a very similar vaccine to soldiers. Over 40 million people received the vaccine -- of those 40 million officials saw a higher correlation between the patients who were given the vaccine and those that presented with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
So far, officials say that the vaccine will continue as normal, and again it is urged that people at high risk for contracting the influenza virus get the vaccine sooner than later.
