"The World Health Organization's Preparedness"

The World Health Organization is constantly revising its guidelines for how to deal with an outbreak.  Since the last revision in 2005, there has been many areas in which preparedness and response planning have taken innovative strides to ensure the quality of care one would get if there were to be an outbreak of the influenza virus.

Where as before vaccines were hard to come by, the World Health Organization has made every effort to ensure that vaccines are now stockpiled so as to catch the virus as quick as possible.  And now that the world has seen (and survived) many flu pandemics we can all be assured that every precaution has been taken to learn from the past so similar mistakes are not made.  There is also a greater deal of experience that has been gained so our alertness and attention to detail should prevent the severity of another outbreak.
