"How to Prevent the Flu"

The best way to stay healthy this flu season is to practice good flu prevention skills.  As people around you start to cough and sneeze, you can be confident in your health if you have enough knowledge of flu prevention.

Flu prevention has a lot to do with how you take care of yourself as well.  You should remember to wash your hands, and wash them often.  And an adequate hand washing should last for at least 20 seconds and uses warm water and soap.  The more often you wash your hands the better off you will be in preventing the flu.

Flu prevention also has a lot to do with the way germs spread. Your face is made up of a lot of pores that can be a good means of getting germs inside of your immune system. So during flu season avoid touching your face too much. 

This might seem like a common sense flu prevention tip, but it is essential that you get an adequate number of hours of sleep. The more you sleep the more rested your immune system will be to fight off any infection.  Also, try reducing the amount of stress in your life, you immune system is also weakened by excessive stress. 

Flu prevention is also reliant on what you intake, so if you drink a lot of water as well as eat healthfully -- you are well on your way to preventing the flu.

You know your body the best, and you will be the only one to know which flu prevention tips are the best ones to follow this flu season. But being overly careful couldn't hurt.
