School Closings and the Swine Flu

With the flu season right around the corner and the fact that schools will be opening with in the next 2 weeks, parents find themselves very concerned and uneasy about returning there children to school during this world wide pandemic of swine flu. Especially since children and adolecense are extremely vulnerable to this sometimes deadly virus. Last spring, mayor bloomberg of NYC stated that "shutting schools down has absolutely nothing to do with the spread of the disease." Most of the schools that were apparently shut down last spring were due to the request of upset and angry parents, but will that change for the upcoming flu season, where the influenza death rate is estemated to be between 30,000 and 90,000 deaths?
