"Possible Problems that May Ensue if the Swine Flu Spreads"

The possible problems from the threat of a Swine Flu pandemic are reaching far beyond the ongoing threat that lies from human to human contact. 

We have experienced the threat of an avian flu pandemic, to the point of where many governments had to declare a public health emergency.  And we are not yet sure if there has to be a public health emergency declared in fear of the Swine Flu pandemic.

However some of the possible problems we can encounter include the following.  Employers may experience a huge decrease of able workers.  Some may have to stay home if they are infected with the virus, and others may not come to work in fear of contracting the virus in the work place.  Morepossible problems are stemmed from the fear that employees may insist on coming to work even if they are infected. 

One way to encounter the possible problems if the anticipated pandemic ensues, employers may want to consider some alternative work arrangements.  Possibly allow their workers to work from home.

More possible problems, if your employees do not get health benefits, they may not be able to work for your company for much longer if they are to get proper health care. 

As an employer, it is important that you are aware of these possible problems so your business does not suffer economic turmoil as a result of the pandemic.  It is your responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all of your employees.  The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention offers a plethora of information in regards to planning ahead for the flu pandemic, make sure you consult the list, so you are best prepared.
