This page started being discussed at Forum.UseOfOpenSpaceTechnology?, so let’s develop the idea there!
Later, it may end up at some “forum.projects of the week”, a place to ask for clarification of what projects mean, whether some given date might be better than others, whether participants want to join in at an IRC channel or a conference call, etc.

Week number 1: March 25th … 31st (Weeks start on Sunday or on Monday depending on where you live. Our weeks may start on Saturday if that’s when we can be more active or communicative. This may become a table with “week numbers” and “dates”.)
| Week number | Project title | Convenor and participants | Forum thread |
| 1 | Conference call | keith + YOU sign up here | Conference call 2? |
| 1 | Project of the Week Procedure Guide | lugon + fredness | procedure guide |
| 1 | … | … | … |
| 1 | … | … | … |
(in time, week 1 will sink to the bottom and more recent weeks will be on top)
Is it difficult to say which topics to start with? No! Just look for something that hasn’t been dealt with, or has been dealt with less-than-perfectly, and that will be the issue you want to champion for a week! Some ideas to get you started:
- Flu prevention
- Flu treatment
- We might need to formalize an advocacy page of logical facts that necessitate preparedness to this threat. Too many people dismiss the reality of the risk. This will be like making a mathematical argument proven with truths and facts. Do this prior to community outreach.
- Community outreach and coordinate volunteer agencies.
- Using the Site Index we should look at redundancies, omissions and priorities we have on the FluWiki.
- Ideas from the To Do List …
- Gather the best evidence on non-pharmaceutical measures (masks etc) so we may use them in rich and poor countries in no time.
- Reach out to groups with the know how about granting water, food, energy on a community level. Ask them for usable how-tos and get them on board with open content so anyone can copy the stuff freely.
Please note: these are just “ideas”. If you feel passionate about one of them, then that’s your “project”.
