Types of Project
(Most specific projects might be sorted under these categories, eventually. Not everything needs to fit in nicely.)
There are some things our Wiki Community can be very good at. We can create content cooperatively about things that are not easily dealt with by organisations who have an ego to protect, or who simply cannot deal with unfinished ideas openly - whereas we’re extremely good at that kind of stuff! Other things are best done by others, and we “just” see what’s out there and link to it. We all contribute and we’re all learning how to do it together.
We are creating more or less original content about:
- prevention (including mask developement)
- treatment
- stock-piling and related matters
- explaining pandemics and action options
We’re linking to content created by others:
- plans and checklists everywhere
- science
- data (cases, clusters, etc)
So:
- What else are we good at?
- What specifically should we focus on first? What do we want to get done soon? A simple translatable “prevention and treatment package”? What else?
- What things are best done by others or with others? How do we reach out to them?

American Memory Project click on American Memory Project box at the top of the page. Once there, you can search by 1918 Influenza to read stories about a previous pandemic. The FluWiki may be filling a similar role.
